A direct Google Sheets app for Hushdesk is coming soon. You can already log every ticket event to a sheet today with Webhooks and Zapier or Make.
Last updated 2 min readComing soon
A direct Google Sheets app will add a row to your sheet for every ticket event, with no automation tool in between. This page explains what it will do once it is built, how to get close to it today and how to ask for it.
Google Sheets is coming soon. It is listed in Settings > Apps under Automation so teams can vote for it. Nothing connects to Google Sheets yet.
Before you start
- Who can do this: agents, admins and owners can vote and send requests. Viewers can read the card.
- Plan: all plans.
- What you need: nothing to vote. For today's workaround, see below.
Step by step
- Open Settings > Apps and search for Google Sheets, or open
/app/settings/apps?app=googlesheets. - Read What it adds and What Hushdesk can access.
- Press I want this. A message confirms Vote counted.
- Press Tell us how you’d use it to describe what your team needs, and add an Email for our reply (optional).
- Press Send request and follow it under Your integration requests.
What happens next
Your vote is recorded and the card shows how many requests your team has made. When Google Sheets is built, your request's status changes to Live and this page becomes a setup guide.
What Google Sheets will add
- A row per ticket event in your sheet.
What Hushdesk will access
- Write to one spreadsheet.
It is planned to connect with a one-click sign-in to Google.
Workaround today
Use Webhooks with Zapier, Make or n8n: on each event, add a Google Sheets "add row" step with event, ticket.subject, ticket.status, ticket.tags, ticket.customer.email and ticket.url. For built-in exports, see Export reports to CSV.
Tips
- Put the event time (
at) in the first column for easy sorting. - Analytics CSV exports may already give you the totals you need.
Troubleshooting
"Viewers can look but not change anything. Ask an admin for agent access."
Viewers cannot vote. Ask an admin for the agent role.
"Unknown app"
The app is no longer marked Soon, perhaps because it went live. Refresh Settings > Apps.
Frequently asked questions
Does Hushdesk integrate with Google Sheets?
Not yet. Google Sheets is listed in the Hushdesk app directory as coming soon. Its card in the directory promises "A row per ticket event in your sheet". Today, Webhooks with Zapier, Make or n8n can add the same rows. You can vote for it in Settings, Apps, so our team knows your store needs it.
When will the Google Sheets integration be available?
There is no release date yet. Apps marked Soon are built in the order teams ask for them, so votes and written requests decide what comes next. Press I want this on the Google Sheets card in Settings, Apps, and describe how your team would use it.
What will Hushdesk be able to access in Google Sheets?
It will write to one spreadsheet, as listed under What Hushdesk can access on the Google Sheets card. It is planned to connect with a one-click sign-in to Google. As with every Hushdesk app, keys will be stored encrypted and each connection recorded in your audit log.
How do I log Hushdesk tickets to Google Sheets today?
Connect the Webhooks app to Zapier, Make or n8n, and add a Google Sheets step that appends a row with the event, ticket subject, status, tags, customer email and ticket link. Filter on ticket.created to log new tickets only, or on ticket.closed for a close-out sheet.
How do I find out when Google Sheets is ready?
Vote with I want this on the Google Sheets card, then press Tell us how you'd use it and add an email for our reply. Your request appears under Your integration requests with a status that changes to Live when Google Sheets can be connected. This page is updated at the same time.
