Accessibility

Our commitment to making Hushdesk usable by everyone, and how to tell us when it is not.

Last updated 6 October 2026

Support teams are made of all kinds of people, and so are their customers. We aim for Hushdesk, its chat widget and this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Keyboard first: the inbox can be used without a mouse, with shortcuts listed under the “?” key.
  • Readable colours: text and controls meet AA contrast in both light and dark mode, and colour is never the only signal.
  • Touch-friendly: every control is at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones and tablets.
  • Reduced motion: animations switch off when your device asks for less motion.
  • Labels everywhere: form fields, images and icons have names that screen readers announce.
  • Tested on every change: automated checks run at phone, tablet and desktop sizes before we ship.

Known gaps

We are still improving screen-reader announcements for live updates in the inbox, and some charts are easier to read in their table view, which every chart offers.

Tell us

If something is hard to use, email accessibility@hushdesk.tech or use the chat on this site. We aim to reply within two working days and treat accessibility problems as bugs.
