Add a passkey for quick, safe sign-in
Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key instead of typing a password. Add, rename and remove passkeys from your account.

A passkey lets you sign in with your face, fingerprint or device PIN. It is faster than a password and much harder to steal, because it only works on the real Hushdesk site.
Before you start
- Who can do this: everyone, for their own account.
- Plan: all plans.
- What you need: a confirmed email address, a device or browser that supports passkeys, and a sign-in within the last 15 minutes.
- Time: under a minute.
Step by step
- Open the account menu and choose Security and sign-in.
- Find Passkeys ("Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key. Nothing to type, nothing to phish.").
- Press Add a passkey.
- Confirm with your device: face, fingerprint, PIN or security key.
- A message confirms "Passkey added:" with its name, such as your device type.
- To rename it, use Rename …, type a Passkey name and Save name.
Next time, press Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page.
What happens next
The passkey is listed with its name. Signing in with it skips the password and the two-step code. Every passkey you add or remove is written to your workspaces' audit log.
To remove one, press Remove … next to it. A message confirms Passkey removed.

Frequently asked questions
What is a passkey?
A passkey is a sign-in that lives on your device, unlocked with your face, fingerprint, device PIN or a security key. There is nothing to type and nothing to phish, because it only works on the real Hushdesk site. It replaces both the password and the two-step code.
Why does adding a passkey ask me to sign in again?
Adding a new way into your account is sensitive, so Hushdesk asks for a recent sign-in, within the last 15 minutes. That stops someone who found an open session from adding their own passkey. Sign out, sign in again and add it straight away.
Can I have more than one passkey?
Yes. Add one on each device you use, such as your laptop and your phone, or a hardware security key. Each gets a name based on the device, which you can rename, so you know which one to remove if you lose a device.
What happens if I remove my only passkey?
If you have no password, Hushdesk will not let you remove your last passkey, because you would be left with email links as your only way in. Set a password first, then remove it. With a password, you can remove all your passkeys.
Does a passkey work on a shared computer?
It can, but it is best kept on devices only you use. On a shared computer, sign in with an email link and sign out when you finish. Passkeys stored in a phone can also be used on a nearby computer through your browser's phone option.
