On this page

The audit log shows who changed what in your workspace and when. Use it to answer "who turned this off?", to check a teammate's access after they leave, or to review sign-in security.

Before you start

  • Who can do this: owners and admins.
  • Plan: all plans.
  • What it covers: the last 200 changes in this workspace.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Under Account, choose Audit logs.
  3. Read the list, newest first. Each line shows the person, what they did, any details, and the date and time.

What happens next

Each entry reads like a sentence, for example "Aiza invited a user" or "Sam turned on two-step sign-in". Some of the actions you will see:

Area Examples
Users and teams invited a user, revoked an invite, changed a user, created a team
Workspace changed the store details, changed business hours, created this workspace
Customers added a customer, deleted customers
Sign-in security changed their password, turned on two-step sign-in, added a passkey, signed out of every other device
Data downloaded a copy of the conversations
Hushdesk support opened this workspace read-only to help, closed their read-only view

The person is shown as "Hushdesk support" for actions by our team, "System" for automatic changes, and "Former member" for someone no longer in the workspace. Changes that do not have a sentence yet appear with their technical name, for example billing.plan_changed.

Tips

  • After you deactivate someone, check the log for anything they changed in their last days.
  • Look for "signed in with a recovery code" on accounts that should be using a phone or passkey.
  • Ask every admin to use two-step sign-in, then confirm it here.

Troubleshooting

"Admins only"

You are an agent or viewer. The page says "Ask an admin if you need to see who changed what." Ask an owner or admin.

"Nothing logged yet"

No change has been recorded in this workspace so far. Changes to users, teams, hours and customers show up as soon as they happen.

An entry I expect is missing

The page shows the latest 200 entries only, and ticket replies, tags and status changes are not part of this log. A ticket's own history is in See ticket history, rename, print or mark unread.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the audit log in Hushdesk?

Open Settings and choose Audit logs, under Account in the settings menu. It lists the last 200 changes in the workspace, newest first, with who made each change and when. Only owners and admins can open it; agents and viewers see a short note asking them to contact an admin.

What does the Hushdesk audit log record?

Changes to users, invites and teams, store details and business hours, added and deleted customers, plan changes, data exports and every sign-in security change, such as a new password, two-step sign-in or a passkey. It also shows when Hushdesk support opened your workspace read-only to help.

Can I see when Hushdesk support looked at my workspace?

Yes. When a member of the Hushdesk team opens your workspace to help, the log shows Hushdesk support opened this workspace read-only to help, and a second line when they close it. Support access is read-only, so nothing in your workspace can be changed during that visit.

Can I export or filter the audit log?

Not yet. The page shows the latest 200 entries without filters or a download. If you need an older record for a security review, contact support. Data exports of your conversations are a separate feature under Settings, Export data, and each export is itself recorded in the log.

Why does a sign-in change appear in several workspaces?

Your account is shared by every workspace you belong to. When you change your password, turn on two-step sign-in or add a passkey, the change is written to the audit log of each of your workspaces, so every owner can see that the person's security changed.
