Create your Hushdesk account

Sign up for Hushdesk with your name, work email, a password and your store name. Your workspace is ready straight away on the Free plan.

Your Hushdesk account is the login you use to answer customers. Signing up also creates your first workspace: one inbox, one set of settings and one plan for your store or team. It takes about a minute and starts on the Free plan.

Before you start

  • Who can do this: anyone with an email address.
  • Plan: every new workspace starts on Free, with unlimited seats. No card is needed.
  • What you need: your work email (the one you check every day) and the name of your store or team.
  • Time: about a minute, plus a minute to confirm your email.

Step by step

  1. Open the sign-up page and choose Create account.
  2. Type Your name. Your team sees this name on assignments and internal notes.
  3. Type your Work email. Use an address you can open now, because we send a 6-digit code to it.
  4. Choose a Password of at least 10 characters. The meter under the field shows Too short, Strong or Very strong as you type.
  5. Type your Store or team name, for example the name shoppers know you by.
  6. Press Create account.

What happens next

Hushdesk creates your workspace and signs you in. You land on the Welcome page, which says "Your workspace … is ready" and shows a short list of setup steps: connect your support email, connect Shopify, add live chat, invite your team and turn on the AI agent. Each step shows roughly how many minutes it takes.

At the same time we email you a 6-digit code to confirm your address. Enter it on the Welcome page under Confirm your email, or open the link in the email. See Confirm your email address.

You can leave the Welcome page at any time with Go to my inbox or Open Home. The same checklist lives on Home until every step is done.

Tips

  • Use a work address you share with nobody else. Your account is personal; your team gets their own accounts through invites.
  • A short phrase such as three unrelated words makes a long password that is easy to remember.
  • Running more than one store? Create one account, then add a workspace per store from the account menu. See Create and switch workspaces.
  • After sign-up, add a passkey or two-step sign-in under Security and sign-in for extra protection.

Troubleshooting

"An account with this email already exists. Sign in instead."

That address already has a Hushdesk account, perhaps from an earlier try or an invite. Go to the sign-in page and sign in. If you forgot the password, use Forgot password? to get a sign-in link by email.

"Use at least 10 characters"

The password is too short. Add words until the meter no longer says Too short.

"That password is too common. Try a short phrase instead"

The password is on the list of passwords that every breach list starts with. Pick something less predictable.

"Don’t use your email address in your password"

The password contains the part of your email before the @. Choose a password that does not include your name or address.

"Use more than one repeated character"

A password made of one character repeated (for example ten "a"s) is refused. Mix different characters or words.

"Too many attempts. Wait a minute, then try again."

Several sign-ups came from the same connection in a short time. Wait a minute and press Create account again.

"That email doesn’t look right"

The email address has a typo or a missing part. Check for the @ and the domain, for example you@yourstore.com.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to sign up for Hushdesk?

No. Every new workspace starts on the Free plan and the sign-up form never asks for a card. The Free plan includes email, live chat and unlimited seats. You can look at paid plans later under Settings, Plan and billing, and nothing ever upgrades by itself.

How long does it take to create a Hushdesk account?

About a minute. You type your name, work email, a password and the name of your store or team, then press Create account. Your workspace is created at once and you land on the Welcome page with the next steps.

What makes a password acceptable in Hushdesk?

It needs at least 10 characters and at most 200. It cannot be one repeated character, one of the most common breached passwords, or contain the part of your email before the @. A short phrase is the easiest way to pass and to remember.

Can I sign up twice with the same email address?

No. Each email address can belong to one Hushdesk account. If you try again you will see a message asking you to sign in instead. You can still run several stores from one account by creating extra workspaces.

Is the store name I type at sign-up shown to customers?

Yes. The store or team name becomes the name of your workspace and your first brand, and customers see it on emails and chat. Pick the name shoppers know you by. You can change it later under Settings, Store, without creating a new account or losing any tickets.

How many people can I add on the Free plan?

As many as you need. Seats are unlimited on every plan, the Free plan included, so you never pay per person. Plans differ by their monthly conversation and AI resolution caps instead, which means adding a teammate for busy season costs nothing extra.
